1. Fill out the form below with your flight information and details to ensure that you are compliant with American Airlines™ flight requirements before your travel day.
2. Print your Guaranteed on Board™ Certificate and bring with you to the airport and present to the boarding agent.
3. If you are denied boarding due to the Sherpa Pet Group carrier that you are using to transport your pet, the Sherpa Pet Group will reimburse you for the cost of your flight. (Applicable for flight routes 1 and 2 below only), and your pet fee subject to the rules and conditions listed below.

Qualifying Routes
Route 1: Between the 49 United States/Canada/Puerto Rico/US Virgin Islands (Hawaii excluded)
- Carry-on pets accepted on domestic flights within the 48 contiguous United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and St. Croix
- No carry-on pets to/from Hawaii. Pets may travel as checked baggage only
Route 2: Between the 49 United States/Canada and Mexico/Caribbean (Hawaii excluded)
- Carry-on pets accepted from the U.S. to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean provided the country of arrival permits entry
- No carry-on pets to/from Hawaii. Pets may travel as checked baggage only

- Book your pet's reservation early. There are limits to the number of pets allowed in the cabin.
- Charges are payable at the airport and the passenger must show the pet travel fee receipt at the departure gate.
- Pets traveling on-board with passenger must check in at the ticket counter. No curbside or self-service check-in is permitted. Allow extra time beyond the normal check-in guidelines, but no more than 4 hours prior to your flight time.
Carrier Information
- One carrier per passenger
- Only one pet kennel per ticketed passenger may be accepted for travel in the cabin. The kennel may contain two (2) dogs or two (2) cats but they must be the same species, at least 8-weeks old, and the pet and container can weigh no more than 20 lbs. combined.
- Two (2) pets total permitted in First Class (book early with reservations to assure availability)
- Five (5) pets total permitted in Business and/or Coach Class (book early with reservations to ensure availability)
- American Eagle and American Connection, one (1) pet in-cabin permitted
- Pet must be able to stand, turn around and lie down in the carrier

Terms & Conditions
The Sherpa Pet Group Guaranteed on Board™ program is designed to ensure that you and your pet travel comfortably and hassle free. If you follow the guidelines below and are denied boarding the aircraft with your pet, Sherpa Pet Group will refund the cost of your flight and your pet travel fees.
This program is subject to the following:
- You have filled out all the information on the Guaranteed on Board form truthfully and accurately - if not, this offer is void
- If you and your pet are denied boarding the aircraft due to any issues other than those related to the carrier, this offer is void
- If your pet is viewed as a threat to the safety of you, itself or others, this offer is null and void
- If the information that was filled out and submitted is not accurate, this offer is void
- If you fail to arrive at the gate on time and are denied boarding, this offer is void
- If the carrier that you are using is damaged, in poor repair or condition, this offer is void
- If the safety of your pet is in question due to non related carrier issues, this offer is void
- If you are over the limit for carry-on baggage and are denied boarding, this offer is void
- If the flight is cancelled or you voluntarily decide to not take the flight, this offer is void
I have fully read the details of the Sherpa Pet Group, LLC Guaranteed on Board™ program and understand the terms of conditions related to the recovery of my airline ticket costs and my pet's travel cost(s). In the event that I am denied boarding, I am aware that I will need to have the Guaranteed on Board forms filled out and signed by the person that is denying my entry.
